DS Liquid’s aluminum flux is a metallurgical auxiliary material (additives) designed for the melting and refining of recycled aluminum and secondary aluminum.
Drossing Flux is used to separate and recover residual metallic aluminum from aluminum dross generated during melting processes. Certain grades utilize an exothermic reaction to enhance metal recovery efficiency from dross.
DS Liquid’s Drossing Flux is a product range developed to efficiently separate and recover metallic aluminum from dross generated in secondary (recycled) aluminum melting processes.
Aluminum dross contains a significant amount of recoverable metallic aluminum.
Without proper treatment, this leads to substantial metal loss and increased production costs.
Drossing Flux is applied directly to the dross to promote effective separation between aluminum metal and oxide components.
Some grades are designed with an exothermic reaction, which increases internal heat and improves metal fluidity, thereby enhancing aluminum recovery.
The product range is primarily Na-based and supplied in powder form, with multiple grades applicable across operating temperatures from 650°C to 750°C or above, depending on dross condition and process requirements.
Each product is specifically designed and customized according to customer operating conditions, dross characteristics, and recovery methods, supporting improved yield and cost competitiveness in recycled aluminum operations.
